Balloon Boy's Gift to Children

The whole world stopped today and watched a balloon fly around Colorado. We all held our collective breaths wondering if the 6-year-old boy -- said to be inside when it took off -- would actually make it down alive. Parents everywhere put themselves in the shoes of the balloon-making parents, only imagining how helpless and worried sick they felt.

Then the boy was found hiding in the attic.

Now, this day will forever be remembered as the day millions of parents let bad behavior slide. You wrote on the wall? Eh, at least you didn't scare the country into thinking you were dead. Home late from an after-school playdate? At least you didn't ruin the science experiment that cost us bookoo bucks and time we'll never get back.

So if you're a kid and you're reading this. You're running out of time. Go out and misbehave. And when you get caught, just tell your parents "at least I'm not balloon boy."
