A Bedtime Story for Judgmental Readers

Once upon a time, a blogger writes a story about a mom with many children.

And the big, bad readers didn't like it one bit.

They told the mom blogger she was way off and probably a bad mom herself.

Mom blogger feels tired and overwhelmed, wondering if she is the awful devil-mom readers say she is.

But lots of other readers send emails and messages on Facebook telling the mom blogger that noooooo, don't listen to those big, bad readers.

Mom blogger feels touched by the nice people but still wonders if she should throw in the towel.

Then, an angel comes down from the sky in the form of a BIGGER mom blogger who just happens to write for Yahoo in Canada. Angel blogger writes story about the big, bad readers and how they gave mom blogger such a hard time, creating tons of traffic for mom blogger.

Mom blogger grins to self and thinks, I win.

The End

:-) It's fun to win, isn't it? You go girl! Although really...you know your own heart! You don't really believe all those meanies out there, do you? Do you really need us to tell you that you're doing a wonderful job as a...blogger, mom, wife, etc.??? Well...ok, it is kinda nice getting all those compliments, isn't it? Glad you won!!!

i love your blog! i love the love you have for your children and husband. and thats why i read your blog. you make me realize that there are other moms out there who go thru the things that i do. the people who always post in the comments are so funny, and i love hearing their stories too. we are all mom's and should stick together! not that what i think matters, since you don't know me, but from what i do know, i think you are a wonderful mom!

Linney, thank you. Your words are so sweet.

And BDDL, you're SO right. I do NOT need you all to tell me. Yes, as peers it's great to encourage each other but I'm done worrying about what a bunch of strangers think.

If only they could see me at the grocery store with all three--- then they'd really chastise me!

Woo Hoo!!! Go Angel Blogger!!! Don't you ever throw in the towel - You mean way too much to the blogging community. . .Hello? Who coined "Taiwan Lucy" - Who DOESN'T know Lucy? Seriously. And it's not because she's absolutely adorable and funny, but it's because we all enjoy reading about your life as a Party of 5. As written and told by YOU. Even it it's only a piece of your life, your compassion, your love, your candor is all appreciated. We love you!

I am not a mom, but I am constantly amazed at what Jeff and Jackie accomplish as parents and people. They encourage all their childrens' unique and individual talents, and approach their parenting with a tremendous amount of love, respect and of course, sense of humor. My mom told me what exceptional parents she thinks they are, and she's right. I never realized what my parents really accomplished until I was an adult. They juggled incredibly busy lives, and yet were always there for me. All I knew as a child was that I was incredibly loved, and that's what Jacob, Brady and Lucy will always know too. So to all you moms and dads, I deeply respect what you accomplish every day. And to the critics, Jackie has won! All you have to do is look at her children to know how truly successful she has been.

I love mom blogger and recently became daily mother blogger myself after being inspired by mom blogger. So when mom blogger almost threw in the towel I freaked out. We are so glad that mom blogger stayed in the game to fight fight fight for all bloggers everywhere!
