And The Nominees Are...

Today marks day one of National Adoption Month. It's the perfect time to learn more, celebrate our blessings and honor those who are making people aware of what you can do to bring families together.

Over the past year, through conversations and reading, I've realized that adoption is not for everyone. In fact, if you don't feel the calling 100% in your heart, I actually advise not to do it. It's an excruciating, overwhelming, yet unbelievably remarkable process that will bring out the best and worst in an adult. If you've got some unresolved baggage in your life, you can bet adoption will bring it front and center if you don't deal with it. I'm sure there are many parents out there who can attest to that.

That being said, there are people all over the world who are taking groundbreaking steps in adoption. Whether it be through bringing children home, raising funds for others, helping educate or doing something never done before -- they should be recognized.

If you know someone you think should be honored this month -- however large or small you think their acts may be -- please tell me about them in the comments. Also, please share any blogs on those who have adopted or are adopting from the U.S. or from one of the many countries around the globe. Momlogic.com may share their stories with thousands of readers on National Adoption Day, November 15th.

Hi Jackie! I have a friend Andrea that runs a ministry called Receeses Rainbow! I know I botched the spelling. It is a Down Syndrome Ministry! I just wrote about it on my blog and also there is a button to there angel tree as well. Anyway, she helps down syndrome children and Other Angels ( Noah and Breelyn were both on there by the way after I told her about them) She works to get them grants and everthing to help them find homes. I HIGHLY nominate her I guess is what you would say. Let me know what I need to do

Blessings friend,
