What's That At the End of the Tunnel?

Could it be a light? After all these months?

Where do I begin... how about with we have a first decree for the guardianship case.

(I'll give you a few seconds to jump around screaming woo hoo and it's about time!)

What does this mean? It means that in the next couple of weeks, we should be ready to start our adoption case. Which is fantastic news. It really is. Although I find myself these days trying to remind myself that it's great news. Hard to get too optimistic when it's been this long and we're not even logged into the court. But we're moving forward and forward is definitely the right direction.

Lots of huge news this week. Marina and Lora got their first rulings and will be heading to Taiwan in the coming weeks! I'm so happy for them and for Sarah and Allie. They'll be able to be with their babies in time for the big first birthday.

Please keep Lucy in your thoughts. I'm so saddened to think how difficult it is that every friend she's known keeps getting plucked out of her life. She's one of the oldest kids there and my heart breaks that I can't just go get her.

She is too cute - a little duck. Thanks for mentioning us - I'm sure you will be coming right behind us. It sounds like we had the same judge - so it's the fast one!

Celebrating each milestone with you! (even if it should have happened a long time ago!!!!)

This morning, I am praying- taking your whole family before the Lord. I'm asking for speed in court, comfort for Lucy as she looses some friends, strength for your boys and no jealousy when Lucy arrives, quick bonding and attachment with Mommy and Daddy when she gets to come home, health during travel, and that your visit to Taiwan planted such beautiful images in her mind that she is able to recall them during dreams or when she is sad and know that you are MOM.

And until the day you get The Call, I will continue to pray these things.

Yay! I am jumping up and down for you! It's about time. I know there are more hurdles before Lucy comes home but I pray this is the beginning of the tide turning and the rest is lighting fast.

That is a major milestone! Lots of positive thoughts for you and Lucy from us. Although it's all luck of the draw, I am praying hard that your case will be assigned to the judge who handled our case. This judge and his clerk were super efficient. We got our first ruling less than 3 weeks after it was filed in court.

Best Wishes!!

That's great news. I hope the same judge does both cases. In which case I bet you get a speedy court process for the adoption???

I love those pictures soooo cute!

Good news!!! I see it!! I see the light. Soon you will be in and done with court!! It won't be long now. You're going to fly through court on on your way to Lucy. I know that it's been a long haul, but it's almost over. Keeping you in our prayers.

Yellow is definetly her color, even if the shoes are a little big.:-) So glad to hear this good news and hoping and praying that the next court process moves at lightning speed. Can't wait to see Lucy in your arms again permanently.
Blessings,
Teresa

I have thought a lot about how Lucy might feel when we take Allie and Sarah away as well. Trust me Jackie, It will be a bitter sweet experience as I'm not sure how I'm going to walk away and leave Lucy there... I have gone over it in my mind and spoken to DH about it more than once. It is hard to express how grateful we are to finally have travel news, but how emotional it will be to see Lucy again and know that she will be there a little while longer. My thoughts are with you every day.
