We Survived...

The days leading up to Lucy's birthday led us to believe it was going to be one tough day. We were right. BUT it was a bit easier to get through with such huge support from family and friends. And the boys (including the 6'4" one) and I had a little celebration in honor of Lucy's big day.

The first ever pink cupcakes made here in the Mac house! (can you tell we let the boys do the sprinkling?)
We let big bro J take the first bite.
Yum! Daddy approves.
Chomp, chomp, chomp.
And then there's our little dude who doesn't like sweets. This photo is classic B when it comes to goodies. Who is this kid?
And here are the boys singing Happy Birthday for the 47th time. We decided to keep the real one— with candle and wishes— for Lucy to see first.

Jackie, the cupcakes are beautiful and I love the birthday song!! :) I'm so glad you were able to get through that emotional day with your family around you, and be able to celebrate for little Lucy. Praying she comes home soon.

Jackie,

I am so sorry that your family is not together to celebrate Lucy's birthday and I hope you'll be together soon. I wish I could say something to make you feel better but it will happen soon. Your boys are adorable and Sierra and I enjoyed the song. I have a sister who doesn't like cake - weird!

She'll be home before you know it...and everyday will be a celebration. We missed Zane's first birthday, but we are making up for lost time.
