What To Do...

One thing I've noticed is whether you're a soon-to-be Mom waiting to be matched with your baby or a "seasoned" parent waiting to pick up the addition to your family, occupying your time/mind is a challenge at times.

Some choose to renovate the house, others choose to shop, shop, shop! Frankly, I'm thrilled that it's the holiday season because it's an easy distraction. This time of year is insane with parties, school events, work projects, and shopping! There's no way we'll be able to meet Lucy before Christmas so I am trying to let go and enjoy our family of four, at least for the next couple of months. But she's never far from our minds...

One adopting Mom found a cool way to pass the time. Amy hand-crafts these cute "mommy-in-waiting bracelets" to help fund their adoption. She made my bracelet with each set of red beads to signify each of our three children.. The beads are strung on a red thread and there's a cute butterfly charm.

There's a Chinese saying... An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break. So my bracelet will be a daily reminder of the little girl we're destined to meet.

Thank you, Amy!
