Have You Ever?

Have you ever had one of those Christmas mornings when the daughter you'd dreamed of your entire life -- you know the one who was born ten weeks early under very difficult circumstances and lived her first 19 months in a nursery because the court system took far too long to unite her with the family who loved her from the first second they saw her photo -- comes down the stairs with her loving brothers for her very first Christmas morning at home and is in awe of all that belongs to her? And then her brothers are just as excited for all that Santa left her and they all can't wait to play together all day long and everyone in the house knows without saying a word that this is the most magical moment ever and you're the most blessed family that's ever graced this earth?

Yeah, we have.

oops except she wasn't born ten weeks early, she was born with a hole in her heart. we were too, but now we no longer have that hole. anyway I can totally understand your Christmas being the most amazing ever - and yes! We have ever! (as in the ? you asked in your post) it is fun to share those feelings of incredible amazement with another family . . . .:)

Your children are beautiful.

Okay that is so beautiful that it made me cry. I can't know that yet, but I know I will next year. Your kids are just precious. Sweet how the boys were excited for her!
