Cocktails or Sutures?
Because one of these days, Lucy's household acrobatics will have us scrambling for one or the other. And let me tell you, if cocktails and/or sutures were invented by a mom, I think they would have been created around the same time -- one to get the kid through it, one for the parents.
Enjoy a collage of Miss Lucy's high chair monkey business. Please note: Jeff was standing right by her while I snapped photos and no princesses were in danger during this photo shoot. And the high chair was quickly removed from the kitchen and added to the collection of items appropriate for most 2-year-olds but too dangerous for Lucy, piling up in the garage.

OMG!!! She's killin me!!! I can't imagine how your heart must skip a beat (or 2 or 8 or 10) when you come across her in the middle of an act like this one.
How many gray hairs do you have these days or do you even have any hair left? LOL! That girl has some skills, that's for sure...
Hang in there Mama!

Oh dear... I can only imagine the stunts she'll try to pull when she's 16. I agree with Tami: she'll either be a gold medal Olympic gymnast or the female version of the Evil Knievel.
uh-huh, yep, this is what
mister frankie does alll day long.
we've taught him to warn us that he is about to climb by saying
"may i?"
So now all day long we hear,
"A-i? A-i?".
which helps but most of the time he
is already in-climby-progress when he's uttering the A-i's.
twitch.twitch.
OMG, I'd have a heart attack! I don't know how you do it all and handle it in such a laid back way. The shoe thing was very funny, though. I haven't done anything like that yet, but ask me a year from now! :-)
My, what I have learned from reading your blog! Since I have been following, it I cleaned out the dryer vent, am bracing myself for a very active toddler, and will take a CPR and safety class! That you for all the good advice and fun stories!
She must keep you on your toes! I'm glad we aren't the only family with the pile of appropriate 2 year old furniture/stuff piling up in our basement. Aaden does the same acrobatics! :)
Lori
I've got a monkey like that!
I highly recommend the booster seats that attach to a dining chair and have a mini tray. This next child (whenever she arrives... ahem!) will ONLY be getting one of those; they're great!

Oh my! I would have been frantic had I found a baby doing such stunts! Better get her enrolled into Gymnastics - we may see her in the Olympics one day, perhaps the beam wil be her event!
Can you hear me laughing from PA? lol! She is quite proud of her little self. Trey, my 7 yr old is my gymnast, he has always climbed and gotten up onto things and some days I still find him standing on the counter top looking in the kitchen cabinets.
Oh my goodness! Bailey was never a climber but I have a feeling I better be prepared. Seems like a lot of these kiddos like to climb. She looks so proud of herself!! lol!
Holli
4 days til I leave. I feel a panic attack coming on.
I have to say she is still well advanced and still as cute as when I meet her in person! WOW she is something else. Little Monkey :)

She reminds me of Jack. Good luck and God bless - you'll need both. When Jack was nine months old we had to dismantle the bunk beds. We still call him "Monkey Boy". Londo 2012? :-)
further gymnast?
