One thing that made this Christmas so special was knowing that all three kids went out shopping with Jeff and were encouraged to pick out something for Mom. Jeff and I both agree that it's not about what they choose, but that they feel like they were able to pick something they truly want to give. Of course the best gifts were those they made for us but it's adorable to see what they think their parents would want and the look of pride on their faces is just priceless.
My handsome -- and oh so patient -- husband even had the foresight to snap pics of their adventure. I have to say, seeing these photos and hearing the stories of how they chose the goodies was a gift in itself.
Jacob chose a chair massager because he said he wanted to "make mommy happy."
Brady chose tennis balls because well... Brady wanted some new tennis balls.
Lucy was less than cooperative posing for photos but she did choose a nice pair of fuzzy slippers.
Brady actually fell asleep in the cart. Shopping is hard work!
Mission accomplished!

Dadtastic scores again! Taking photos of shopping for Mom, VERY cool! I love the Tennis balls, and Brady lugging that giant box to the front of the store. You are one blessed wife and Mamma!! : )
What a fabulous idea! I think we'll do this next year except maybe I'll accompany them when they pick out my gifts. "Yes, mommy would loooove a Dooney and Bourke purse. Oh, and that diamond necklace? What a sweet baby you are!" Brady - he fell asleep eating pizza once, too. Wish my kids were so easy to please. :)
How sweet! What a great hubby you have! I love the tennis balls - Mission accomplished alright, Brady made out with his first pick! Where are the fuzzy slippers from Lucy? Let's see that photo of you in a chair with your new massager, feet up with the fuzzy slippers and say, juggling the tennis balls?
That pic of Brady falling asleep in the cart is just cracking me up!!!
Good luck finding time to use that massage chair, huh?! Maybe in your dreams? LOL...
You could sit in the chair with your slippers and toss the balls and let the kids fetch them and bring them back to you! Where are those fuzzy slippers anyway?
