Hittin' the Hard Stuff

Someone asked me the other day, "how is it different -- bringing home a toddler?"

Well, bringing a toddler into your home is like inviting a very tiny drunk person into the family. One second, she's the life of the party... but then she can turn angry and hurtful in a flash -- and two minutes after that, cry and want to be held and comforted.

Sometimes it's all you can do to keep your sanity 'til she passes out.
